Party cooking should never be a penance. What with all the amenities available, from laser knives, pressure cookers, multi-mixers, deep-freezes, microwaves, non-stick pans and subtle, original, exotic convenience foods, you can now bring the gastronomic globe to your dining table. The recipes in this ebook are collected from family manuscripts of several generations, from travels abroad, also some succulent secrets from friends, plus my innovations. It provides you with a choice of mixed flavours for a buffet, try contrasts, something braised, something steamed, something roasted and something fried. Also opposites within a dish: tender meat with crunchy vegetables. Blend colours, aromas, flavours and textures harmoniously.

There are simple methods for complicated recipes. The Party Cookbook is for hosts who want a complete menu under one cover. In keeping with the times; it offers you fusion menus for your buffet table. The chapters are divided into Soups, Salads, Vegetarian and Egg Dishes, First Course, Main Course, Dessert, Preserves and Pickles. In planning your menu includes some dishes which can be made the day before, this applies to most sweets and soups. I use a lot of herbs in my cooking so I have given details on how to preserve them throughout the year. Your table should be a feast for the eye as well as for the palate. Remember cooking is a combination of art, science and innovation and the most important ingredient is love.
